The title of this article probably grabbed your attention because all you've been told is the opposite; that eating healthy costs more money. It is true that if you are used Slow Cooker buying dry soup from a package or eating from a fast food dollar menu that your first stroll through the produce department might seem a little scary. It is a change, a different lifestyle and it will require a shift in the way you purchase and prepare your food. You may have to shop at places you're not familiar with. You will have to set time apart in your week to prepare meals in bulk ahead of time.



Involve the whole family in dinner preparations. Everyone can help, in my family even my 3 year old can help by placing silverware and napkins on the table. Use your crockpot whenever possible, there are tons of cooking gammon in a slow cooker recipes that aren't soups and stews.

I gammon joint encourage you to do the research. Ask the questions. I'm not advising anyone to just throw out their meds and buy new food. I'm suggesting that you make the necessary adjustments to your diet and see if you don't see improvements in your energy, pain, fatigue, overall feeling of wellness. Then talk to your doctor about trying a month or so without the medicine to see if you can eliminate it.

First, you'll want to find recipes that are designed for a crock pot or Slow Cooker. Lots of recipe websites will have sections dedicated to slow cookers. Have some frozen chicken you don't know what to do with? A simple search will yield numerous options. Then you may want to make a few alterations based on portioning or taste. You will be amazed at the variety of things you can cook in your crock pot.

Opening the front door on a cold evening evening and being greeted by the inviting smells of a beef stew or chicken noodle soup wafting from a slow cooker - ahhh - it is truly a diner's dream come true!
