Canned corn beef is a food item that we don't hear much about. While it's still available, it doesn't seem that many people cook and serve it. Fresh corned beef brisket is always a tasty treat, but it can sometimes get expensive. Canned corned beef is pretty reasonable in price by comparison. Other than frying it in slices, there's not been many other ways to prepare it.


Sitting outside under the sun, sipping sweet but not-too-sweet ice tea.OK, I'll stop, it's not Gone with the Wind, but it certainly makes for an awesome lunch break. One other tip: turns out on Monday's your beer comes with a free pork sandwich.


Some recipes call for dry bbq rubs before cooking begins. Others call for a sauces(mops) used at various intervals in the bbq process. Still other roast pulled beef chilli recipes go with little or no seasoning until the end, when bbq sauces are put on the finished meat.


My husband enjoyed his platter as well. The macaroni and cheese was different than what he was used to but he still enjoyed it. The cornbread was sweet and thick like cornbread should be. His pulled beef brisket pork was delicious though he did add a bit of sauce from the bottle set at the table.


When we get the stuffed baked potatoes, we get the regular potato. The baked potatoes are the size of a small platter in restaurants or roughly the size of a kids size 5 shoe.


After dinner was over, everyone exchanged gifts. While some people like to open a present or roast beef brisket two on Christmas Eve we did not do that. At the time, I wish I could have opened all of my presents.


Libretto's Pizzeria and Italian Kitchen-Another addition to The Markets at Town Center, this eatery will serve New York style pizza, chicken parm, penne, ziti and other Italian dishes. Look for this restaurant to open around December 2010. Follow on Twitter or Facebook.
